A very interesting opportunity for a Compliance Manager with a focus on policy interpretation and Horizon scanning to join an ambitious UK Retail banking Institution based in the Midlands.
The role is responsible for all matters of prudential and treasury compliance acting as the principal expert on standards based upon UK and EU regulation and legislation, supporting internal programmes and functions, and delivering oversight to the organisation. As well as the additional responsibility of managing a small team.
The position is a very high profile role working with all functions of the bank and presenting to the EXCO.
Skills Required:
Previous experience required (in a financial services firm) at a senior level in a Compliance or Legal function, ideally with experience of dealing directly with the Regulator on prudential matters. Management of technical staff. A Successful track record of engagement at Senior Executive level. Commercially aware and educated to degree standard with relevant professional qualifications.
A legal background with the abilty to interpret policies from the regulator and feed back to the business would be beneficial
