#AUDITISCOOL GOES GLOBAL

We are absolutely delighted with the response we had from the IA community about our #auditiscool campaign.  Many people have told us that it has helped give Internal Audit (IA) the focus it deserves.  On the back of which we’ve seen #auditiscool go global, thanks to the great support from Steve Sanders and Sally Clark and all our followers, "likers" and others. Big thanks to you all.

NOW IS A GREAT TIME TO BE IN INTERNAL AUDIT

This year we've also seen the launch of a number of other organisations with similar goals to #auditiscool. The CIIA has launched The Aspire Community to challenge some preconceptions and support new joiners to the profession. As well as The Audit Book Club, which is looking to champion diversity in the profession and offer mentoring and support for people looking to develop a career in IA.

In fact it feels like there is a real sense that now is a great time to be involved in IA for a host of reasons like:

  • Training and development
  • Progression
  • Making a difference
  • Having a career with meaning
  • Diverse and Inclusive environments
  • Working for world class businesses
  • Innovation

At the same time, helpfully, IA recruitment activity is really strong, creating lots of opportunity to progress and develop.

THE SECOND SERIES

As you can see, even when I was kicking back for the summer, I was still spreading the #auditiscool message (tee-shirt model's own).  Now we've had our summer break, we are delighted to announce that we are kicking off the second phase of our interview series this month.  We’ve got together another amazing group of Audit leaders to share their views on all things IA and offer advice and support to people looking to develop their careers and play their part in continuing to spread the word #auditiscool!

I really enjoyed talking to our contributors.  Their interviews are insightful and inspiring and I’d like to thank you all for joining our community and taking part.
